All the mails are opened and organized by Zhao Wei's mother, and sometimes if there is a good idea somewhere, she will read them out loud to her. Zhao Wei saids that at first, she got all sorts of letters exclaiming, "I love you" but as time went on these letters changed to more caring letters, asking her how she was doing and sometimes giving her advices.

"On my birthday, I received over 3 thousand presents sent to me by little fans. That day, my mother was incrediably busy answering phones with fans calling up to wish me a happy birthday. I'm really thankful to them and wish they will remain happy forever. I really feels as though I'm growing up alongside them." {Zhao Wei}

Recently, because of the many commericals that Zhao Wei has signed on to do, there has been alor of critisms against her actions. But Zhao Wei has her own ideas. "I'm not a person that looks to money for everyting. Actually, when companies find me to do their commericials, their price is not low. But I always have to see what kind of products it before I accept the job. For example, if someone wanted me to do a commercial for high heels that were directed at the young teenagers, I would have to think it over seriously because what if it hurt their health in some ways? The commercials that I've done before, I liked their products."

Zhao Wei saids that if she does earn alot of money, she hopes to produce merchandises for little children because she really liked kids. Another one of her dreams is to be able to travel the world.

Rumors in the Showbiz Circle was a common thing, and of course Zhao Wei was no exception. But she doesn;t think that the rumors will affect her personal life or her relationship with her boyfriend.

"After all the rumors last year, I became stronger. I feel that I am still young aand should place my attention on my career more. My friends, co-workerd and family has given me alot of support. They believe that I can act, and they know that I didn't become an actress because of my physical appearance." {Zhao Wei}

Zhao Wei says that she had once been in one of director Zhan Yuan Zhian's movie called, "West Palace, East Palace." At that time, Zhao Wei's character in the movie was very small, so this time, direcor Zhan wants to let her act in his new movie as the main lead.

5/6/2000-Zhao Wei: I grew up with the fans.

After the "New Years Show Night", there has been little news about Vicki. Only know that she is filming a new TV serie and will begin to film another serie afterwards called, QSSYMM or New Yin Yu Men Men.

This year in the "New Years Show Night", Zhao Wei was one of the hostess. Will she want to continue on as a hostess?

"Even though I did okay, I don't have any wish to become a show hostess. I'm very thankful the director of the "New Years Show" had so much confidence in me. The length of time I was on was pretty long." {Zhao Wei}

This year, Zhao Wei was placing her attentions more on acting, and 2ndly, singing.

Zhao Wei has just finished filming the TV serie, Xia Neu (english translation is Heroine Breaks Thorugh the Heavenly Gate. In the serie, there has been improvements. Afterall, the martial arts in there was directed by the famous director, Chen Siao Dong.

"When filming the serie, he was really strict. I never use a stunctman. He saw a bit of my parts in Huan Zhu Ge Ge, and felt that the fighting wasn't exciting enough. And series/movies filmed by him always has beautiful martial arts. He thought that the martial movements in HZGG was too rough. In Xia Neu, he hopes to make my martial movemens handsome and showy. That's why I always has to NG each scene from 40 to 20 times before he is satisfied." {Zhao Wei}

"I frequently butter him up, giving him compliments and all. He's pretty nice to me too. In reality, I have no real martial arts talen but at the set he always compliments me saying that I was "A Martial Arts Genius that's hard to find every 10 years." Giving me alot of confidence and creating a good working relationship between us." {Zhao Wei}

This is why the Nicky/Zhao Wei rumor started! Vicki was still in her show costume but Nicky has already changed, and yet Vicki's head is still resting on Nicky's shoulder....

But the director of Xia Neu says that Vicki was very tom-boyish and was friends with everyone. Resting her head on Nicky's shoulder doesn't mean there's anything between them! She frequently rests her head on alot of the other actors too! Her boyfriend Ye comes visiting all the time, and was completely immune to the hugging and kissing that was part of show biz.

Because of HZGG, Zhao Wei became very famous and also very busy. so busy that her essays required to graduate was written rather hurrily. SHe might not be able to graduate because of her trying to juggle both career and college at the same time.

With her busy schedule and her endless movie and TV contracts, Zhao Wei's essays for the final were, pointed out by her teachers, written too hurrily and that might influence whether she will successfully graduate this year or not. Zhao Wei complains that it was unfair how her essays were publised and publically critised while her fellow classmates' essays only had to be seem by the teacher to graduate. Actually, ever since the court case from last year in September where the Beijing Movie College was sued, Zhao Wei and her college has already had problems. Because she, Vicki, came to court as a witness saying that she had no knowledge of the contract signed by the school for her, problems long hidden had already started to grow.
