10/29/2000-Since the beginning, Zhao Wei and Stephan Zhou have proclaimed their admirations for the other. Zhao Wei has always claimed Stephan was her idol. On her October trip to Hong Kong last year, she met with Stephan for the first time secretly and had dinner with him in a Japanese restaurant. The first meeting created a lasting impression between them, therefore it was natural that Zhao Wei is invited to be Stephan's main female lead in his new movie, Sao Lin Soccer Team, taking the place of Stephan's long time partner, Mor Wen Wai, Karen Wai.
Then, at the Sao Lin Soccer Team's reporter's meeting this September, Stephan Zhou again announced that Zhao Wei was the most beautiful actress he's ever worked with. During the entire meeting, Zhao Wei and Stepan's seemed very close and intimate.
10/29/2000-Unknown to Hong Kong's media source, Sao Lin Soccer Team has started filming in Guong Dong Zhu Hai Se. With the daily contact and times spent together, rumors have spreaded that the spark of attraction has finally flown flew between them.
Last night, reporters reported seeing Zhao Wei walking arm in arm back to the hotel to Stephan Zhou, acting more as lovers than normal aquanctance that they claimed to be.
After a few days of following the team around secretly, the reporters was certain that Zhao Wei and Stephan was 'fake acting, real feelings' otherwise meaning, that though the acting wasn't real, the feelings behind the acting was real...
While Zhao Wei is acting, Stephan is never far away. He always seems to be by the edge of the filming area, carefully advicing Vicki while Vicki smilingly listened on.

To be able to see Alec and Ruby again, I'm really very happy. Everybody can meet again. Acting with them for me is very comfortable unlike the first time I acted with Andy Lau, like when I hit him; I won't feel good about it. I know Alec and Ruby too well, especially with Alec; we're like kids together. But when it comes to love scenes, I cannot hold my laughter back, when acting as mature young people falling in love, I really can't resist laughing. This is unlike the love scenes I had with Nicky Wu because the partner is different. When I have love scenes with Leo Ku, I'll be more professional also because our roles are much moremature. We don't joke around anymore because we've joked enough. But talking about Deeja Vu, my role is very comical. Xia Nu herself is also very smart and thinks of funny ways to make fun of people. In Deeja Vu, her fianc?is a 7-year-old kid. Because my fianc?was originally his elder brother. But because many people thought he was dead, so he had to marry me. So I dressed myself up terribly: wore a wig, fake thick eyebrows, made my face black and dropped a tooth and told him, " do you still want to marry me like this?" trying to scare him. 10/6/2000-Yesteraday, Zhao Wei, and many other famous artists all hurried to Beijing to celebrate their 'mother' school, Beijing Movies University's 50th anniversary. Even though there are many artists there that have succeeded in achieving fame and success in the Entertainment Circle, most of the spotlight once again went to Zhao Wei.
When asked how she felt about the school's 50th anniversary, Zhao Wei replied, "It hasn't been real long since I've left the school, so I still feel as though I am a student here. I have to say, if I hadn't made the school, there would never have been the Zhao Wei you see here today."
Sitting with the more successful artists, Zhao Wei was seated next to her old "enemy" Zhang Guao Lee. After the court case the other year in which Zhang Guao Lee sued the school for Zhao Wei's incorperateness in filiming Chi Seng Duo, there were many rumors of dislike between them. However, yesteraday, the two enemies sat next to one another, and looked as friendly as anyone. When asked about it, Zhang replies that it was the media's that created the rumor. Zhao Wei also adds that the media exxagerated things, there really wasn't any unhappiness between them.
Sitting two seats from Zhao Wei was also famous director Zhang Yi Mo who was rumored to have critized Zhao Wei in front of reporters. Zhao Wei was also rumored to have answered, "He's not the director on earth!"
The reporter sitting between them asked Zhao Wei what she thought of Director Zhang Yi Mo. Zhao Wei answered quite suprisingly, with an admiring look in her eyes, that Zhang Yi Mo was great!
Turning to Zhang on the other side, the reporter saw Director Zhang could do naught but smile a broad smile.

9/30/2000-For her new album, which she is trying to hurry and record right now in China, Zhao Wei has to grow out her hair long, but for her new movie, which is to start filming very soon, Zhao Wei needs to wear a head wrap/mask (?) to appear bald!
Having been a while since she's had a new album out, Zhao Wei is very excited to be singing again. While filming QSSYMM in Shang Hai, she would always go with friends to the KTV to sing. Because she is so well liked, and welcomed, no matter how crowded the KTV is, the manager would always manage to find her an empty room. However, the VIP treatment didn't come easy. Even while Vicki is singing, her hands are always busy, signing signatures for the fans that surrounds her.
In her new album, which will consist mainly of theme songs from QSSYMM, Zhao Wei will be growing her hair out long for the songs she sings in there are mostly rather old fashioned songs. She will be wearing the old outfits to match the image. However, there will also be a few modern songs in the album also, and of course that naturally means a modern image!
When Vicki had first accepted the new movie, she was willing to shave her head off for the movie, but now, with the new album and other work that litters her schedule, Vicki's hair was required to stay. But when accepting the movie, she explained that she wanted to act as the uglier character. Her reason was simple: she wanted the fans toconcentrate on her acting skills rather than her appearance.

9/24/2000-Zhao Wei and Leo Gu: Secretly Meeting in Hong Kong!
On the 23rd, Zhao Wei once again headed for Hong Kong. This time she was there to discuss the process of her new album which was due out at the end of the year. But reporters also found that she was there to meet up with Stephan Zhou to further discuss the new movie, Sao Lin Soccer Team as well as traveling about Hong Kong with her boyfriend. The night of the 23rd, the reporters caught her meeting up with Leo Gu.
However, the rumors that Leo and Vicki was in love was quickly extinguished when the reporters saw Zhao Wei's boyfriend, Ye Mau Xin at her side. Without noticing the customers around them in the elegant restaurant, Vicki and Ye acted as though the others were invisible, having eyes only for each other.
At around 12am, Leo Gu arrived. By his side was long time rumored girlfriend , Lorraine. According to source, Leo had just arrived from a TV show, and was extremely hungry. After waving a hello to Ye and Vicki, he set about eating.
The two couples seemed very cosy, talking and laughing for hours. It wasn't until past 1am that they finally left.
During that time, Zhao Wei finally noticed the reporters taking pictures downstair. Though she waved at the reporters, Leo and her started moving further and further away from the window, moving away from the reporter's cameras.

Not everyone is as lucky as Vicki. Although she is not the only child in the family, she is as pampered as those who are only child. She studied, and made her way to Beijing University of filming. She got famous before she even graduated. Really a little swallow. What's more, she has a rich and doting boyfriend. Such a life, what more can one ask for?
She is born in 1976, having Pisces as her horoscope, and having O blood type running through her veins. She has an in-born adorable and cheerful look, and is extremely steadfast in love. That's why she flew all the way to Shanghai to meet up with her boyfriend in the mist of the filming. She doesn't want to become a homemaker as yet, her boyfriend is her everything, but filming is her life.
With such big, round attractive eyes and a eloquence in speech, led to giving Vicki and being well-loved life. She has the attention of her families, friends and teacher, but this did not make her proud. If fact, she is cheerful, jovial, and all up to mischief in real life.
Crown publishing did a write-up for her when she made it popular by become Little Swallow. She wanted to be a teacher in Shanghai, but was spotted by a television station, coaching her in acting, with that, she made her first debute.
As Vicki wanted to be enlisted in the Beijing Film Academy, she and her mum were too anxious, that they even dropped the entry permit without knowing. Because of that, Vicki sat at the door of the exam hall and cried her heart out, and thanks to that, the examinor came out to settle this case personally.
She managed to make it by hook or by crook, and was offered the lead role in the show, jie jie mei mei chuang tian xia. Following that, she was spotted by Qiong Yau to act in HZGG, which led her to her fame.
She feels that in comparing herself with other fellow schoolmates, she is definately much lucklier. She gives thanks her lucky star, and to Lady Luck who smiles down upon her. Being an actress sometimes really needs to rely on luck to get famous.
9/21/2000-Yesteraday, reporters caught Zhao Wei at the airport. Not wearing any makeup, Zhao Wei still waved cheerfully at the reporters. Her manager, standing by her, told the reporters that they had secrectly come to Hong Kong yesteraday afternoon from Shang Hai. They only came this time to discuss plans for Zhao Wei's 3rd album which they hoped to release at the end of the year.
9/16/2000-Yesterday, in Shang Hai, Stephan Zhou once again started auditioning newcomers for his new movie, Sao Lin Soccor Team. Zhao Wei, one of the main characters that's going to be in the movie also showed up. Her face looked tired as she had hurried all the way from NanJiang to come to Shang Hai. As her god friend, Stephan of course had to thank Zhao Wei for coming to the audtioning to help him, and so gave her a light massage to help her relax. Even though she could only stay for half an hour, as she had to hurry back to film QSSYMM, Stephan was touched by her sensiveness. At the audition, Zhao Wei talked about how she had to do something like this when she had tried out for the Beijing College.

It was reported in a HK news articles that Vicki looked totally exhausted at the press conference, thus, Stephen Chow did her a massage. Though tired, but she still brought along her hand-held DVD recorder to record the happenings at the conference.
She was tired because she rush from Nanjing to Shanghai on the previous night, and because of the filming of her new series, Qing Shen Shen Yu Meng Meng a.k.a(QSSYMM), she could only stay for half an hour at the conference.
She praised the participants at the conference for their bravery, as if it was her, she doubt she could be like them.(what the participants were participating at the conference was not stated.) But, Stephen Chow managed to attract many to participate at the conference.

A Shanghai reporter reported that Vicki had rushed from Nanjing to Shanghai for the publicity work for the show, Shaolin Football. She had to put her filming of QSSYMM on hold to attend, but could only stay for half an hour before rushing back to Nanjing to complete the filming.
She felt that the participants for the publicity of Shaolin Football were pull of confidence of themselves, which received Vicki's praise. She felt that they were good, better than herself, when, in the early days, she first went for an audition at the acting school, which was before she started acting and becoming popular. She recalled that she was required to act out the expression of misunderstanding with a fellow classmate at the audition. Luckily, she everything went smoothly.

Stephen Chow felt great as Vicki came all the way from Nanjing to support the show, Shaolin Football. Many turned up at the press conference, where there was even a fifty-nine year old lady who acted in the show Red Lover (hong se lian ren) .
But there was an eighteen year old girl who tried to catch Stephen Chow's attention through the dance she was performing. Stephen said " Maybe that was a way to release the stress she was feeling"
Because she has taken on the movie, Soao Lin Soccer Team, Zhao Wei has to once again change her plans about doing a photo album. The photo album will just have to be pushed back to the end of the year for Zhao Wei already had the new movie as well as her new album, which is also dued out this year. She will not be able to find time to go overseas to do the album as she had first planned.
However, no matter what, Zhao Wei says that her album will not be the sexy sort. Her album will just be a fresh album that shows the more relaxed and normal side of her.

Vicki does not want to have too sexy pictures in her pictorial book / portfolio (xie zhen ji).She does not want to have pictures that requires her to bare her body excessively. The book is schedule to be published on in September, but because of Vicki's heavy schedule, this project has to be postponed to the end of the year before she completes compiling the pictures for her portfolio. She wants to have an healthy image in the book, reason being that most of her fans are youngsters. She wants her book to be innovating , creative, giving others a new feeling. She says that she would put in lots of effort!
9/6/2000-Yesteraday, Zhao Wei asked for a break from the filming of QSSYMM just so she could come to the Shang Hai TV Station to promote her new serie, Xia Neu Chiong Tian Guan. Tired from the long hours of filming, Zhao Wei arrived at the station in a regular white top, her hair not done, and wearing no makeup. She laughingly said to the reporters and fans that was waiting for her there that she looked more like a "middle aged housewife" now than anything. However, with her natural beauty and elegance, she overshadows anyone dressed in fine silk and satin,for our Vicki looks great in anything! ^_^
Because her two series, Lau Fan Yiu See and Xia Neu was broadcasted in Twaiwan at the same time, it was 'Zhao Wei vs Zhao Wei' and so therefore, both series did not do as good in ratings as expected. However, if you add the two ratings (Lau Fan and Xia Neu) together, you will realize that no one can beat Vicki there!
When Xia Neu was broadcasted in Hong Kong at ATV, Zhao Wei helped break the ATV's long time record of getting a rating past 10 points. For the longest while, ATV have not had a single show which has a rating past 10 points, and this time, they could smile smugly at their opponents and smirk, "We did it, hon!"
While reporters shot questions at Zhao Wei, the young fans about the place kept racing up to meet Vicki and ask her for autographs, the situation got so bad that in the end, the host was crying, "stop!, stop!" Shaking the head at Vicki's popularity.
One reporter asked Vicki what she hoped the ratings will be in Shang Hai, and Vicki answered impishly, "Hopefully, a 30 point rating!"
The reporters laughed and said, "There hasn't been a single 30 point ratings show in Shang Hai in years! Aren't you a little greedy?"
Zhao Wei kept on smiling, her confidence still intact. "Yeah, I am so bad and greedy!" She agreeded.
But who knows? Maybe Vicki won't be so far off mark? I would love to run to Shang Hai right now, and scream at people in the streets. "WATCH XIA NEU every night at 9pm!!!"
9/5/2000-Ever since the law that was set that stated that TV series filmed in Mainland, China had to use a certain bumber of actors and actresses from Mainland, the love for big Hong Kong stars have slowly faded. With the new rules, many of China's actors and actress' have become famous over seas. Some, have become mega stars, surpassing even the biggest Hong Kong stars.
Zhao Wei, who was only a student when she accepted Qiong Yao's TV serie, Huan Zhu Ge Ge was the perfect example. Then, she was an unknown, her meager salary was only 5 thousands yangs per episode. Overnight, HZGG became famous, and Zhao Wei's price shot up three-folds. Many many merchants came to ask Zhao Wei to be in their films/movies. The price was, "Whatever Siao Yan Zi wanted."
Instead of accepting any shows just for the money as some actors/actress did though, Zhao Wei did not film anything just for the money. She only filmed a few productions. When she filmed the TV serie, Lau Fan Yiu See, her price had jumped two folds, but it was still nothing major. HZGG 2 and the QSSYMM's price was rather low too, because Zhao Wei was grateful for Auntie Qiong Yao's help in her fame, and accepted any price that Qiong Yao named.

9/2/2000-Yesteraday, Stephan Zhou opened up a reporters meeting in Hong Kong for his new movie, Sao Lin Soccer Team which was going to start filming very soon. Hundreds of reporters, photographers, and etc, arrived from all places in mainland China and Hong Kong to witness Vicki's official signing of the contract for the movie.
Not only was Stephan there, but his sister and mother was there also. When his mother was asked what she thought of Zhao Wei, Mrs Zhou answered brightly, "She is so cute! I'm beg her to take a picture with me and then I'll be able to show my friends!" When further asked about Stephan's rumored girlfriend, Yu Fan, she was a lot less enthusiastic. "I don't know her, having never met her, I don't know what she is like" were her answers.
At first, Stephan and Vicki was really polite, and rather distant, but as they piled compliments on the other in front of the reporters, they got closer and closer. In the end, to the reporters, they were soon whispering secrets ear to ear, obviously having gotten over the first politeness.
Stephan saids, "Zhao Wei's the most beautiful and the funniest actress I've ever worked with." He also added that Zhao Wei was very much a perfectionist, and ask alot of herself and could make the audiences laugh. There's no one that's more suited for the role. When asked whether there will be any kissing scenes, Stephan shook his head and said, not really...
When asked whether they will actually go inside Sao Lin to film some scenes, Stephan says that they needed the permission of the head of Sao Lin before anything can be set up.
Zhao Wei saids, "He's been at me forever to shave my head, and I've been at him to use computer techniques instead." In the end, because of other obligations, Vicki's hair was forced to stay the way it was, all on her lovely head!
Working with someone that's had an enormous amount of rumors spread about him, was Vicki a bit nervous that her boyfriend will become jealous? "Of course not, he knows it's just acting!" She admitted that she really admires, and likes Stephan Zhou, and will not mind any rumors that goes with working with him. "The media will still write what they will anyhow." She added ruefully.
Since you like him so much, is your salary less because of it? Is it a 6 or 7 place amount? Vicki answers, "The agency works the money part of the contract out. The amount isn't any more my old salary, and was neither lowered nor raised because of Stephan Zhou.
Now all Sao Lin Soccer Team needs is one more new actress, but the director of the movie didn't want to waste money hiring a HK actress, before it can start filming. But now that everything's all settled between Vicki and Stephan, the progress will start rolling!
