8/14/2001-Sue Yu Pen's latest serie, "Pi An Serie" has started filming on the 8th of this month in which he and actress Wong Yian (Qing Ge Ge from HZGG II) shall be acting as partners. Even though the plot of the scene with a young master solving cases were no longer new, the producers were confident that with YuPen as their main lead, the audience will like it nevertheless.

Yupen, who had just finished filming the serie, "Zhan Sen Fuen" and the promoting work for the Green Tea commercial, immediately hurried on accepting this new serie without a break in between. YuPen says that even though he has been in China all these years while filming, he had never been to Wu Xin, and hopes to have time to admire the places there.

On the 1st of this month, YuPen had to start preparing for this new serie by trying out the many clothes and styles he was to wear for the serie. Everything seems fine except for one big problem. Though YuPen was rather slim, he had a big head which seems even bigger when he was fitted into the old fashion headpiece he needed to wear for the serie. In the end, the dressing took hours and hours before the dress artists were satisfied.

Funnily enough, YuPen and Ruby Lin who had just parted in Beijing once again gets to meet up in Wu Xin. It seems that not only has Yupen has a job to do there, but Ruby Lin has also accepted a serie which shall be filmed there.

"YOUTH APPOINTMENT" serial would be aired soon

The Beijing ．Ya-Huan-Yin・ movie company is making a TV serial, ：Youth Appointment；(Xiang1-Yue1-Qing1-Chun1), which would be broadcasted soon in Mainland China.

This modern-feel show is 20-or-so long. Its story lines revolve around a sweet, beautiful love story, and it would display the problems the young generation face today: the happiness it brings, the pain it causes. Is the puppy love as beautiful as the spring? When facing true love, should we run from it? When in a relationship, should we be more simple, or complicated?

Graduates from their universities, a few young people went into an association together. They would get through the steps of workplace problems, social life, love and family pressures, battles they have to win. Before finally, they would be brave with help from eachother and become the ．heroes・ they longed to be.

The rising start Yuan LiYin in this serial meets Su YouPeng, as a simple carefree girl, Ma YeYe. This young girl who never cared much for love in university came to a company and meets a mature, good-looking, boss Jing Tao (Su YouPeng). They fall in love, but there・re more problems than she imagined.

This serial reflected on the love world of teens today, exposed their thoughts and feelings to the real world.

7/29/2001- After YuPen signed onto Andy Lau's New Melody company, he once again released his new album, "Didn't Know Deep Love." However, unlike his other albums, this album was released almost silently. Last week, when YuPen visited Hong Kong to promote his new album, he was surrounded by fans who accused the company of neglecting the new album, and failing to promote the album to the fullest.

To that, YuPen merely replied that it was not the company's fault. It was entirely his, as he had an amazingly tight schedule. However, next month, he hopes to be back to promote the album some more.

7/18/2001-Last night Yupen arrived in Hong Kong to attand a certain show. He shall be leaving Hong Kong today to continue on to Beijing to attand the movie, "Spring's Date's" premiere. He adds that he shall be coming back to Hong Kong at the end of the month for a serie of promotion.

The serie, Qing Sen Sen Yu Men Men, which Yu Pen starred in did not have as good a rating as predicted. When asked about that, YuPen laughingly answered, "Probably because Hong Kong's audience likes a more fast moving movie, therefore the serie does not totally fit in with their own lives. But the serie will be bound to produce good responses in China. In this serie, Leo Gu's character, Sue Huan, is very eye-catching. But without my character, Du Fei, the story would be too serious."

YuPen also reveals that in the serie, all four main character's salary were the same. He laughingly says, "Actually, all four of our salaries are the same. Not any higher than one another as rumored."

7/18/2001-Sue Yu Pen has always had a good/kind image, therefore it was not a suprise when he was chosen by the Children's Charity Corp. as their main spokesperson. As his duty as the spokesperson, Yu Pen paid a small visit to the children's home this week.

At the home, YuPen let down his more mature side, and kept complimenting the childrens as adorable and cute. However, when asked about whether he wanted children in the future, YuPen suprised everyone by answering no!

"Because my parent's marriage was an unhappy one that resulted in a divorce because of their difference of personality, I've decided not to have children when I marry." YuPen explained. But what if his future wife wants children? "Then I guess I won't marry and will just leave the duty of producing grandchildren on my younger brother!"

7/18/2001-Even though people no longer called Sue Yu Pen, Siao Gui, from his earlier career as part of the infamous music group, "Little Tigers," people still could not destroy their image of YuPen as Mr. Nice guy. Some things can never change about a person, I suppose.

When asked about his latest happenings, Yupen answered rather tirely that the serie he was currently filming was due to finish very soon. Though he was not that tired because of filming, he was a bit still in a fog today because he had to film last night til this morning, therefore he has yet to truly wake up.

With his becoming a new member of Andy Lau's company, YuPen certainly seems to have copied many of his ways from his boss. Not only has he re-sang Andy's songs in his new music album, but Yupen has also taken to repeating Andy's infamous words, "I shall inform you (reporters) when I marry."

When asked about his 'other' half though, Yupen merely says that his other half should be about the same age as Zhao Wei or Ruby Lin. YuPen also adds that though he might tease a girl, he would never seriously hurt her feelings by laughing at her.

According to Yupen's manager/agent, Yupen will be busy for the rest of the year. Having seen how naturally Yupen tries to repond to all questions thrown at him by the reporters, one could see that Yupen is a true professional who felt serious about his work.

6/26/2001-How famous is Sue Yu Pen you asked. Once you see his work schedule, you will realize it. Right now he has to record his new manderan album, then guest-starring in "Zhan San Fuen," and also has to promote China's food commercial for 3 months. All three of these has to take times. That's why, as of now, YuPen is certainly one of the busiest person around.

What most of YuPen's fans were anticipating the most is Yupen's new album. According to him, he will sing at least one of Andy Lau's old songs.

"Actually, there is a lot of pressure. After all, he is the boss, as well as the more experienced. That song is also very special. I shall add a modern feel to the song, probably in the R&B style. Of course I won't use the orignal style to sing the song, for I'll never be able to beat him at it!"

Sue Yu Pen also wants to tell everyone some good news. After waiting 14 years, he is finally able to open up his own concerts, and it shall be touring all over China, as well as opening up concerts with other artists in other parts of Asia.

6/26/2001-Was Ruby Lin and Sue Yu Pen a couple? The two of them did not completely explain, which made the audiences a bit lost. But right now the two of them were both filming in the same building. Even though it was for two different series, Yupen and Ruby still found the time to have lunch and dinner together. When they were aruging, they would frequently have fights in front of Ruby's mother. YuPen even brought Ruby to Shang Hai to see houses, and buy new homes. The relationship between them was really suspicious.

Ruby Lin is filming the serie, "New Chu Liu Xiang" right now while YuPen is filming "Zhan San Fuen," a serie produced by his own company, "New Melody." Ruby Lin says, "We live up and downstairs of a building. He generally works during the day whereas I work mostly in the afternoons and at night. Other than sometimes conversing during the film set, we only see each other during lunch/dinner breaks."

Ruby Lin says, "My mom is here also. She really likes YuPen, and always says that he is a good guy. But he is really gay. (not as in lesbian/gay!) Once, he left Beijing for a few days. When he came back, he gave my mother some magazines that he bought for me. When I saw him next, he was irritated that I never mentioned recieving the magazines. With that, we immediately got involved in another arguement!"

With their many arguements, why would YuPen take Ruby Lin along to see the houses in Shang Hai then? Ruby Lin explained that they were buying houses of their own, one for herself as a private home to live, while YuPen merely wanted to buy a house as an investment. He only brought her to see the houses because he liked the neighborhood, and knowing that she too was looking for a house, he suggested the place to her, and that's why they ended up going to see the houses there together! No other reasons please!

Then what about their ffeelings for each other? Ruby says that they feel a lot more like friends. When the reporter teased that perhaps they were less like lovers, Ruby answered, "Yes!" Then she added, "No feelings, none at all!"

When Huan Zhu Ge Ge first started filming, rumors had first surrounded Ruby Lin and Sue Yu Pen. Not only did the audiences believed they look good together, but later producers of QSSYMM obviously agreed also as they placed YuPen and Ruby as lovers in the serie. In a little while, Ruby shall be finishing up the filming of "Chu Liu Xiang," and will also guest-starr in the very end of Zhan Wei Jian and Sue Yu Pen's serie, "Zhan San Fuen" and shall pair up with Sue Yu Pen to a happily ever ending.

6/26/2001-Ten years ago, when YuPen had been a part of the infamous group, Siao Hou Duai, he and his co-partners had opened up several concerts, and gone on tours. Ten years later, Yupen's wish is merely to open up his own personal concert. YuPen also announced that he hopes to invite Zhao Wei and Ruby Lin these two rumored girl-friends to be guests for the concert.

When asked whether Andy Lau was the grand helper in his career, Yupen's answer was very certain. Since he has become a part of of Andy Lau's company, New Melody, Andy Lau has helped him to retrieve his music contract from his previous company at a high price. Andy hopes to open up Yupen's career in Asia...Therefore there can be no suspicion as to where Yupen's career was going, straight to fame!

With his increasing fame, and publicity, Yupen has become a beloved of the commercial merchants. Not only has he been invited to do all different kinds of commercial, but the commercial merchants also has claimed their support for Yupen to meet fans, as well as backing Yupen in his personal concert at the end of the year. No wonder Yupen is feeling so fine!

Discussing his "first time," Yupen says, "Been in the circle for 14 years already. Has always wanted to have a personal concert. Even though while in Siao Hou Duai, I have been in concerts, but that was merely a symbol of Siao Hou Dua's success. This time however, it is all mine. That's why it's truly vital to me."

Sue Yu Pen's personal concerts is planned to be in NanJiang, Tian Jian, See Ann. What troubles Yupen the most is not singing live, but who to invite as his guest. As for the two rumored girl-friends Zhao Wei and Ruby Lin, YuPen saids that he does not mind. "Actually I really don't have that many friends in the Entertainment Circle. Only Zhao Wei, Ruby, Nicky and Benny. But because they are all famous, it's really hard for them to find time. Right now only Ruby has promised, though she has to see about her schedule first. As for Zhao Wei, because she has plans to open up concerts herself, it's probably not going to be convient."

5/28/2001-Alec throwing a concert, both Vicki and Ruby lends support

Alec was once famous during the Little Tiger's era. It is now after 10 years that he has made his fame again. He has plans for a solo concert at the end of the year, where he would invite Vicki and Ruby to appear on stage with him. He show no signs of keeping this from the reporters.

Alec has to thank his lucky star that Andy Lau's company has signed him on, after helping Alec break off from his existing contract. Andy has many plans of sculpturing Alec into an asian regional, all rounder celebrity. Andy can be termed as an important figure in Alec's future.

The fame has brought many benifits to Alec's career, as many are willing to sponsor him for his 12 mini concerts as well as his solo year-end concert. That explains the happiness on Alec's face, and his readiness to express the news about his plans for his concerts.

Talking about "first time", he explains that in his 14 years in show blitz, he has done concerts before, but has yet to do solo concerts. In the past, the concerts were for "The Little Tigers", and not for himself. Thus this time round, Yupen has placed high hopes and expectations on his concerts.

His solo concert would be held in Nanjing, Tian Jing, and Xi'an in China. Four concerts held in each place. His greatest headache is not the location or the songs to sing, but instead the guest that's giving him a problem. Touching on the topic of Vicki and Ruby, where most of the rumours emerge, he does not avoid the topic, but explains that he doesn't have many friends in the entertainment world, only Vicki, Ruby, Nicky and Benny. But since they are all busy with their own schedules, there is problem to get everyone down for the concert. In the mean time, only Ruby has agreed to appear by world of mouth only, as it is still not decided as she still has to be able to fit it in with her schedules. Vicki may also be having her own solo concert, thus it may not be appropriate for her to turn up.

5/24/2001-An intimate bed scene from the movie, "White Cotton" where Alec feels awkward.

This was reported by a reporter when interviewing Alec on his on-coming movie, which shall be released on the 26th this month. In the interview, Yupen said that it was awkward fliming the intimate scene he had with his co-star, Ning Jing, a china born actress in this movie.

In the show, Alec portrays a weak and mannerly scholar, named Ma Chen Gong, who is secretly in love with Ning Jing(the female lead), named Fang Bi Yu in the movie. The intimate bed scene is from a dream Alec has, since he was so obsessed with Bi Yu. The flim director even required him to scream at the end of "his" dream to make the scene realistic.

The director, Mr Lee said that Alec's performance was very good and natural when he compared it to another actor who also did a "bed scene" with the lead actress. He adds that Alec's career was to scale to higher heights if he was given more and better opportunities like Ning Jing.

Alec expresses that although it was very awkward to be itimate infront of the cameras, he did it with mininmal NGs.

The character of Ma Chen Gong is supposed to be a country bumpkin, who has little knowledge of the outside world. This was in contrast with Alec's background.

Mr Lee says that when Alec first arrived in China from Hong Kong for the filming, he was bubbly, and full of life. But after a few days, due to the expectations of his role, he was able to collect his emotions very quickly. As soon as his make-up is done, his expression for the role is up on his face. Almost like undergoing a total change.

Other than the "bed scene" he has to overcome, there were other challenging parts to overcome in the movie as well, such as his background in the movie, the problems that his character would encounter, and how he, in his role, handles it.

In the show, he was supposed to be secretly in love with Ning Jing. Alec expresses that in real life, he has also secretly admired someone from a song group during his "Little Tiger Days," but it turned out that the girl that he admired actually liked Nicky Wu, another member of the "Little Tigers."

Now, YuPen claims that he admires Shu Qi,(Leon Lai's ex-girlfriend) for her full and sexy lips. He had met her once before, and feels very happy over the incident. YuPen adds that if he has the chance to co-star with She Qi, he would feel very ecstatic.

5/23/2001-Twaiwan artist Sue Yu Pen has finally officially signed on to Andy Lau's company, New Melody as their newest singer. Acccording to source, Sue Yu Pen secretly came to Hong Kong a couple of days ago for the planning of his new music album, and in the new album, he shall be re-singing a few of Andy Lau's in-famous songs.

Yupen came to Hong Kong a few days ago, and stayed only for about 12 hours. Straight after arriving, he headed straight for the recording studio, taking care to use every second and minute.

According to him, in YuPen's new music album, he shall be re-singing a few of Andy Lau's songs. He says, he's always admired Andy Lau's songs, like "Thank you for your love" and "The days we've walked by." As for which songs to use, it was up to Andy Lau to choose.

5/7/2001- Lately, Sue Yu Pen has been traveling all over the country for his Green Tea Commercial promotion. Because of Andy Lau's invitation to starr in their company's new serie, Zhan Sen Fuen, YuPen decided to fit his already busy schedule around the filming for the serie, and guest starr in this new serie, starring Zhan Wei Jian.

Even though YuPen has yet to officially sign on to New Melody, both sides have already come to a verbal agreement that in the next two years, Yupen shall release 2 to 3 new music album, and New Melody shall become his agent, taking care of his career. The salary will also be a 8 digit number and more.

At first, Zhan Wei Jian and Sue Yu Pen was both to co-starr in the new serie, Zhan Sen Fuen. However, because of Yupen's packed schedule, and to thank his new boss, Andy Lau, Yupen decided to find a little time to co-starr in the serie as a show of support. Recently, Yupen, who has just returned to Twaiwan for 5 days to promote the serie, QSSYMM, which is what Yupen has said to be his favorite work, as his character in the serie, Du Fei was very lively and funny, which was very contrary to his own personality.

The fans were naturally most concerned about whether Sue Yu Pen and Ruby Lin's relationship was real or merely fictious. Earlier on, Ruby Lin has said that Sue Yu Pen was the best choice of all the people around her, which showed that Ruby Lin had quite good feelings toward Yupen. As for YuPen, he did not reply to Ruby's statement, and merely stated that he did not want to talk about relationships for now.

5/21/2001-Nicky Wu and Sue Yu Pen Talks About Their First Love!

After Siao Hou Dao (Little Tigers Group) was split up 6 years ago, all three members has been busy in their own way. Sue Yu Pen and Nicky Wu has not had a chance to work together since then. When they finally get a chance to act in the same movie together, the funny thing was that in the entire movie, they did not have a single scene together!

"The Story of First Love" is talking aboiut a girl who experiences her first love. Nicky Wu acts as the girl's first boyfriend, while Sue Yu Pen acts as someone that falls for the same girl also. Because in the movie they act as people that never knew about the other, it was hard to see the two "tigers" together at the movie set.

Because the script of "First Love" has won a prize in Twaiwan, one of the reason that the two accepted the story in the first place, both of them was very into the acting.

Both Nicky Wu and Sue Yu Pen, after accepting the movie, also thought of their own 'first love.' YuPen says that his first relationshop happened a long time ago while he was still in high school. Because he had to take the exams for college, he had to study a lot. Then in the end, because he was so busy with Siao Hou Dao (Little Tigers Group), he hardly had had time for her, therefore their relationship merely ended quietly.

Nicky says that he was too young when he first fell in love, and couldn't remember the feeling any longer.

"Story of First Love" is planned to finish filming in Shang Hai in June. But the work of Nicky and Yupen was not yet done. Many people have wondered whether the three original members of Siao Hou Dao could once again open up a concert. Even though they each had a different company, they each hope to complete the fan's wish, so keep on hoping fans!

5/10/2001-The two friends that haven't worked with one another for years have finally gotten the chance this summer. In the new movie which is to be filmed in Shang Hai this month, Nicky Wu and old friend Sue Yu Pen shall be acting as 'love enemies.'

Nicky Wu shall be the male lead in the movie, and YuPen, who was the artist that the sponsors had named for the movie, shall be guest starring in the movie for five days.

As both of them generally spends much of their time in China, both of them says that they are thinking of buying buildings in Shang Hai.

5/6/2001-Right now YuPen is busy filming his latest movie, "First Love." YuPen says that he is merely a guest in the moving. As he knew the boyfriend of the main female lead, he was certain there will be no rumors concerning them.

The reporters asked when Yupen sign on with New Melody, whether his salary shall be over the 8 digit figure, Yupen replies that of course it will be that much. Other than movies, he shall also be releasing new albums, the reporters therefore went on to asked whether he was a hundred thousand rich man, YuPen says that he was already such a rich man years ago. But he has yet to buy a house? Yupen answers that even if he wanted to buy a house, he would buy one in Shang Hai, because the houses in Twaiwan was too expensice. When asked whether he would marry a girl in Shang Hai, Yupen laughingly answers that girls in Hong KOng, Twaiwan and SHang Hai were all very pretty in their old way.

5/3/2001-Generally, the clothing or styles of the artists in the entertainment circle has been known as the "latest" styles. Sue Yu Pen says that he sometimes checks out the magazines to get an idea of what's the "latest." YuPen says that artists have to practice their view of styles. When asked whether he spends a lot each year on clothing, Yupen laughinly replies, "Not that badly...Because generally I am so busy with work that I don't have the time to go shopping."

He says that he would re-stock his wardrobe every season, that's why he has quite a number of clothes. Sometimes, those new clothes has yet been worn before the season has changed once again.

Alot of artist has always been different on and off stage. While on stage they would wear very flashy, eye-chatching outfits, but as soon as they are off staged, they would wear only a plain old T-shirt and jeans. But as for Yupen, he says that he has all kinds of different types of clothing, and would wear them all generally. He says that he doesn't have a certain style, and likes to try all different kinds of images.

But Yu Pen also adds that he is not the sort that likes only designer clothings, for he believes style is more important than merely the designers.

5/3/2001-When YuPen was in Hong Kong yesteraday, reporters caught him while he was buying clothings, and asked after whether YuPen has already signed on with Andy Lau's company yet.

But Yupen says that he has yet to officially sign with Andy Lau's nmg company. However, Andy Lau has showned a tremendus amount of interest, and other than helping YuPen to open up his career further in Hong Kong, he has also contacted Yupen's music record company in Twaiwan in the hope of buying Yupen's contract from them. Rumors has it that Andy Lau is using over hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy this contract which does not expire until the year 2003 from the company.
