Even though Yupen was scared to death with just the thought of touching a snake, he still kept up his professional side, and kept going. He took off his glasses, and could barely see where he was going. Tentively, he held out his hands, and touched the snake anyhow. Afterwards, Yupen discovered he was sweating from inside out with fear. His partners, Ruby Lin and Leo Gu, who was watching at the side could do naught but give him praises at his bravery.
YuPen's road towards fame
Even though Sue Yu Pen has been in the Entertainment Circle for a long time, he is still very straightforward. He is also publicly known as a gentlement.
Who will know, when YuPen left the Entertainment Circle, and was in college in Twai Da for the three years, his pain and hurt? When he returned to the Circle, he was without Siao Hou Dua (Little Tigers), without any movies, or any albums. Everything was still a mystery, still having to face his family. He was like a newcomer, that useless feeling, who will understand?
When YuPen entered the Entertainment Circle, he was only a mere boy, only about 15 or 16 years old. He didn't use much effort, and became famous almost effortlessly, and unexpectedly.
However, when he restarted out alone, Yupen's luck was not very good at the beggining. But thank god, after much effort, he finally found a new place, and his career went upon the successful path from then on.
A few years ago, he wrote a book, "When I was at Jian Jong." Now, it's suddenly selling famously in Mainland, China. Wherever Sue Yu Pen goes, warm fans surrounds him immediately. His popularity in Mainland, China is really undescribable.
Sue Yu Pen is very popular in Mainland, China. He's always busy with new shows, or events. His price was also very high, over a 7 digit number in yuan. One commercial earns him an almost 8 digit price.
Lately, Sue Yu Pen released his new album, "Are You Happy." In Twaiwan, ot sold five hundred thousand (500,000) copies. And his autograph sessions were held in many many cities.
Of course YuPen likes today's success. However, when he thinks about the past years, what must he feel? And when the rumors spread about him and Zhao Wei, Ruby Lin dating, why would he be so scared that he doesn't even want a love relationship?

Question: Is Huan Zhu Ge Ge the TV serie that allowed your career to climb once again?
Answer: Right now, I can stay at home and choose scripts that I like, it's all because of Huan Zhu Ge Ge This time I succeed, I cried and sweated quite a lot to earn it. It's very different from that of the times I was in the Little Tigers.
When filming Huan Zhu Ge Ge, we, Chen Zhe Pen (Benny Chen) and I were somewhat strangers to acting while the other Mainland actors/actress all had professional training, therefore we felt quite bad. When we were in the Little Tigers, we had helpers with us, however, now we had to depend on ourself alone, and think that we were newcomers, and start all over agin.
Q: While filming HZGG, there were rumors that you and Zhao Wei had a relationship, was that true?
A: Getting feelings involved while filming is something all actors and actress can not advoid. I was filming in a foreign place. Zhao Wei took cared of me alot, and gave me suggestions and ideas frequently. When not filming, she was very warmhearted, and took us touring, to KTVs. At that time, the feelings came about that way.
Sue Yu Pen says blandly that oveer the last 3 years, Zhao Wei and him has worked together on quite a number of TV series, including "Huan Zhu Ge Ge" I and II, "Cousin Zi Sian (OHHJ)" and "Qing Sen Sen, Yin Men Men," and was together alot for over a years time. Having filmed so many TV series together, it's lying to say that there is no feelings between the two...
Q: Lately, there has been rumors saying that you two do not get along?
A: At that time, I did not know she had a boyfriend. That's how I thought of 'chasing' her. But after a while, I felt that being friends were better than boy/girlfriends. Anyways, right now I feel that I need to put more efforts into my career, therefore I don't really care about a relationship right now. In the future, I don't want to talk about love, and will put my attentions upon my work.
Q: Lately there were more rumors saying that you and Ruby Lin had a relationship, saying that while filming QSSYMM in ShangHai, you two were very close?
A: Ruby and I can talk to each other well. Afterall, we were both raised in the same enviroment, and normal life style and the road we walked upon are very similar. During this time, we are pretty close, but has always been only good friends. I don't think we will get any further. In reality, we both believe that career is more important than a love relationship. Anways, Ruby has always wanted to marry someone that's more older and sophisticated. I'm not really the type she likes.
Q: In the future, what kind of girls would be your choice?
A: Having seen so much, I don't really think physical appearance is very important. The most important is that we can talk well together, has a similar background. That way, the relationship will last long.
Q: Do you place much importance on a girl's virginity?
A: Don't really care. Still the same old words, talking and common interest is the most important.
12/29/2000-In the Entertainment Circle, there are rare cases in which an artist gets very famous, and yet still remembers that people that's helped him on his road to fame before he has made it famous. Sue Yu Pen is one of those rare people.
Ever since Yu Pen started out on his road in the Entertainment Circle, he was helped upon the road by manager Shong, even while YuPen was still a part of the Twaiwan's artist group, Little Tigers. Thirteen years later, manager Shong became godfather Shong.
Recently Godfather Shong, who was in the process of buying a house, still needed about half the money to pay for his first statement for the house, and had to ask Sue Yu Pen for help. Without a word, Yupen wrote a check out for him, and helped paid the statement, letting Godfather Shong, who was already 45 years old, nearly cry because he was so touched by Yupen's loyalty.
After filming QSSYMM, Yu Pen barely had time to rest before he accepted two new movies in Shu Hai, Love Ziu Bee De and First Love, which are all due to finish filming by Febuary. Even though the two movies are all above love, Yu Pen says that he is now not thinking of love just yet, and will concentrate only upon his career in the near future.
12/15/2000-After a long term of indecision and discussion, Sue Yu Pen has finally decided to sign up with Andy Lau's company, New Melody. Even though YuPen's Twaiwan Records company is not a part of the BMG company of which YuPen's good friend and partner Ruby Lin is in, his new company, New Melody and Ruby's BMG company is linked sister-sister companies, and all of New Melody's albums in Hong Kong are taken care of by the BMG company, therefore, using this connection, you can all but say that with Yupen's new contract with New Melody, he had unexpectedly signed on and became Ruby Lin's "She Dee!"
At this time, Ruby Lin has already started recording for her new album, because her company hopes to release her album in the March of next year, just when the serie, Qing Sen Sen Yin Men Men is released. Not to be left behind, good friend Sue Yu Pen and Zhao Wei will also release their new albums in March, at around the same time next year!
12/15/2000-Little Tigers back in Business, all but for Nicky Wu!
Will the three "Little Tigers" be able to work together again?
Miao, who is the manager of Sue Yu Pen and Benny Chen has already told the media that Sue Yu Pen and Benny Chen has already promise to starr in Andy Lau's new production next year, Yan Jia Jian. As for Nicky Wu, he is still thinking of it. Even though he has said that he does not have the desire to film another TV serie, Manager Miao says that she is trying to persuade him. "Perhaps after he sees the script, he might change his mind."
The serie is planned to start filming in Febuary next year, however because they have yet to find the perfect artists for each part, the filming might start later than planned.
Manager Miao, who has left her original company this year and signed on with ANdy Lau's company, New Melody, says that she hopes to get the three tigers that she's helped onto the road towards fame will be able to partner in the serie.
Manager Miao says, "Now that the three 'children' has grown up, I hope to let them go on as they like. I won't try to persuade them into doing anything, for I believe that they should have their own space. Nicky Wu has already signed on with another company, but Sue Yu Pen's chance of signing with our company is very high. However, we are still discussing the contracts. As for Benny Chen, I already told him to wait after YuPen's signed on, and see what the company does for Yupen before deciding. Because they've all chosen a different path, and their roads will be different, and the enviroments that might suit one, might not suit the other."
12/12/2000-While the rest of the world is concerned about their financial problems, the Hong Kong Heavenly King, Andy Lau has no such worries. Not only has he made a name for himself as one of the top actors and singers in the circle, but he since 1991, he has already invested his own money into setting up his own company, New Melody. Now, with his old partner Lee, Andy Lau has widen his company even more, already having branch offices in many different places, including Mainland China, and Hong Kong.
Now, he has invited famous artist manager Miao, who has helped many artists on the road to fame, including the famous group years ago, Twaiwan's well knowned Little Tigers, to join his company, and become the manager for his branch in Twaiwan. She has accepted, and is trying to persuade Sue Yu Pen to sign up with her again.
Though nothing has been set about the contract with Miao, Sue Yu Pen has already agreed to starr in Andy Lau's next year's production, Yan Jia Jian, an old historical TV serie.
Now, Andy Lau's company is trying to head out into the Western area, and has already arranged for Leon Lai and Vicki Zhao's concert for them in Las Vegas.
With the many artists under his company, including himself, Dicky Cheung (Wei Jian) and perhaps Sue Yu Pen, and others, Andy Lau's company is bound to get bigger and more successful in the years to come. We can only look on......
12/1/2000-A new year has yet to start, and already Alec Sue's schedule is already full, and won't be able to take a break until September next year! Ever since his return to Twaiwan after finishing filming the new TV serie, QSSYMM in Shang Hai, YuPen has discovered that his face have started to have minor breakouts, therefore all he is doing right now is rest, rest, and still rest and hopes to get better soon, before he 'comes out into the world' again.
For the new year, Alec has already signed on to do the old TV serie, Yan Jia Jiang, an old fashioned production is going to be refilmed once again, this time by Lau De Hua (Andy Lau)'s company, New Melody. The serie is planned to start filming in Febuary next year.
Because of the good reponse to his new album, Alec Sue's company has decided to let Alec relase a new album soon to follow, Are You Happy? They have already started the preparation work for the new album which was planned to start recording in March. Then, Alec's manager has also planned to make Alec's dream come true, and open up several concerts in Mainland, China next year in around June or July.
Any more jobs will have to wait until the end of September next year, as Alec's time has already been all taken up for the beginning til the middle of next year!

Reporter: What is your favorite song in your latest album "Are you happy or not?"
Alec: Hm...I like all the songs actually!(HeHe) But if you really want me to choose, i will pick the song "Are u happy or not?" coz' i personally feel that this song gives me a very light and easy feeling.
Reporter: Who do you like best in "HZGG"? Xiaoyanzi or Ziwei?
Alec: Hahahaa... Well, the characters "Xiaoyanzi" and "Ziwei" are very fictional. One (Xiaoyanzi) is too bubbly and outgoing to the extremes. The other(Ziwei) has too much worries and is too naive and nice. Well, if i have to choose ... I think I will like them "Combined" ! Hahahahaaa :)
Reporter: Do your parents give u a lot of help or support in your acting life? Alec: Hm...they did not really gave me alot of help in my acting career as they are usually not by my side. I am often overseas acting and they are usually in Taiwan. But they are very nice people and they had supported me all the way. :)
Reporter: What are your recent plans?
Ans: Well, i have a few good movie scripts on hand so i will be quite busy with those. But i think i am going to have a few concerts soon.
Alec Sue YuPen-Turning 'bad'
After the filming of QSSYMM and taking a little break, Yupen has returned to Mainland China again and met up with his many fans again. This time however, his fans was startled by his change, changing to a bit 'bad.'
Edvidence 1: Not only has YuPen started to wear an earing, but he has also added blond streaks in his hair. Even his clothes are different, they seem to scream a 'bad' attitude rather than his old good goody image.
YuPen replies: My image in the new album is like this, I'm only wearing these clothes so that it goes with the album...not for any special reason.
Edvidence 2: Before, when YuPen posed for magazines, he was always smiling, but now, more and more, he has a different 'cool' flavor in his poses.
Yupen's reply: The 'cool' look isn't just faked for a pose..Everyone has seem the sunnier side of me, I think they should see the other side of me too.
Edvidence 3: After Siao Hou Dua, Little Tigers broke up, YuPen headed on his career alone, and along the way, has collected some loyal fans. At one of the fans meeting in Twaiwan, YuPen upon seeing the love and loyalness of his fans, asked the host, "Can I kiss my super fan?" Oh my god, the old Siao Guai would never have done that! Therefore the one female fan became of the happiest girl alive!
YuPen's reply: Fans are my most beloved. Kissing my most loyal fans, I think doesn't count as wrong, right?
11/22/2000-After filming QSSYMM, the two male leads, Leo Gu and YuPen Sue both had to go into the hospital for checkups.
As soon as YuPen returned to Twaiwan after QSSYMM, he had noticed the growth of pimples on his face. When the weather suddenly changed, he also caught a severe cold.
YuPen says, "Because of the hurried filming of QSSYMM, everyone got really sick. Either they loose alot of weight drastically, or they are tired out completely."
It was planned that YuPen leaves for Mainland China at the end of the month for the filming of a new movie, "First Love" in Beijing. However, with his face full of little pimples, he's discussed the possibility of not filming the movie, for his face isn't going to get better for at least another month. However, after much disscussion, the producer of the movie decided that they could wait for Yupen for a month while he gets better. Upon hearing this, YuPen was very touched and has begun to lay off the unhealthy snacks, and starting to eat more healthy nutients, hoping to get better soon.
11/22/2000-Still remember the Siao Hou Dua (Little Tigers Group) that was once famous throughout China and Twaiwan? Years ago, because Nicky Wu had to go into the army, the members of the group all went along their own ways. 15 years later, members of the Siao Hou Dua, YuPen Sue, Nicky Wu and Benny Chen has created their own unique spot in the Entertainment Circle. YuPen Sue is now a super famed artist welcomed throughout Mainland, China. Nicky Wu went on to become a success in Hong Kong, while Benny Chen stayed in Twaiwan.
Now, 15 years later, many producers are interested in getting the old Siao Hou Dua together once more to open up their 15th anniversary concert. Because YuPen Sue and Benny Chen was at a different company than their former buddy Nicky Wu, that created many problems. However, in Septmeber, YuPen Sue's contract with his company expired, and nothing have been said about continuing the contract, we have no idea whether this concert will ever become a reality, especially as YuPen's long time manager Miao was leaving the company. So for now, fans can only hope...
11/14/2000-To many female artists, accidently wearing the same outfits was very embarrassing, and usually caused some unhappiness as they compared each other in their identical outfits. But when the same thing happens on male artist Sue Yu Pen and Wong Lee Jiun, neither of them felt any of the embarrassments the females that been attacked with.
When Sue Yu Pen heard that Wong Lee Jiun also had the same outfit as Yupen's outfit for his new album, he merely seemed suprised, then amused that they have the same 'taste.' He laughingly said, "As Esqare isn't one of the most popular labels, I never thought this would happen!"
According to source, Yupen bought the outfirlast year in Hong Kong for 28 thousand dollars.
In actual, the two artists were quote alike. They were both idols, and had a clean cut image, and was both actors and singers, and was quite successful in the Entertainment circle. Funny thing was, they had both acted as lover to Ruby Lin. Yupen in QSSYMM while Wong Lee Jiun worked with Ruby in his new movie, "Lightning Cop." However, the big difference was that Sue Yu Pen and Wong Lee Jiun is considered as two different generation artists as Sue Yu Pen first entered the circle more then 10 years ago, while Wong Lee Jiun was ralatively new. Ten years ago, YuPen's fame was undeniable. Ten years later, with a different image, he stepped on the road to become more than just an idol singer, the TV series that he's acted in having a red hot rating. In Qing Sen Sen Yin Men Men, Ruby Lin and Sue Yu Pen was acting as a couple. One, a working reporter, and another a girl of a wealthy family, was attracted to one another.
Producer He Siu Chong says. Sue Yu Pen's acting in the serie was had a huge change that they've never seem before. Because his acting has gone up another level. She believes the new show will suprise everyone with the change. And more jobs will come YuPen's way.
Right now, Ruby Lin, who was filming Man Hua Fun Yung with Zhang She Lay and Nicholas Xia. When she heard the rumors about YuPen's contract with his company expiring, she says, "YuPen and I have always been good friends. Even though I haven't heard that Yupen might sign with the same company as me, I would be happy if he did. After all, we are so familiar with each other now, to become She Sister and Brother is pretty okay too, I suppose!"

After five long years, Sue Yu Pen, who first started out in the Entertainment Circle as a singer, has finally released his new album, "Are You Happy." Because it's been so long, YuPen really hopes the album will be a success.
However, because of the TV serie, QSSYMM, YuPen had to stay until the filming was done before he could fly back to Twaiwan to start promoting his beloved album.
Acting: Try out various roles
Having just finished filming, YuPen immediately flew back to Twaiwan to start the promotion for his new album. When discussing his new TV serie, Sue Yu Pen answered happily that because his role in QSSYMM (Du Fei) was quite similar to Wai Siao Bao, the role he most want to act, he had a great time doing it. Du Fei was very funny, and somewhat female crazy, therefore YuPen believes that it was a large change in his acting skills. As an actor, you have to try various parts and roles. Anyways, he was kind of sick of his HZGG's Wu Ah Ge's goody-goody image!
Sue Yu Pen's expectation for himself has always been very high. No matter how many films he's acted in, he is always leaning. When asked, "Which serie was his favorite", he answered very straghtfowardly, "The next one."
Singing-Sing out my own style
When he first stepped into the Entertainment Circle as part of the young group, Siao Hou Dao, YuPen was immediately embrassed by the audience because of his image and physical appearance. Many years later, YuPen again released his new album, Are You Happy, however, he hopes that people will listen carefully to his songs, and use the musics to get to know the real Sue Yu Pen. Because many of the songs were added to the album because of YuPen's own suggestions, the album shows many aspects of YuPen's real personality. Sue Yu Pen says, ever since he was young, singing has been one of his favorite hobbies. And his biggest dream is to open up his own concert!

Love Life-Set aside temporarily
Having just passed his 27th birthday, YuPen's love life has become one of the things that many people was concerned about. But he himself didn't seemed that concerned, saying that he wants to use his heart on his work for now. He says that in the circle, artists and rise and fall easily. He has to use the time that he is still young wisely! As for the future, he won't place his heart on only one aspects of his work, and hopes that his work will be shown so that all the people in Asia will see them!
10/19/2000- While promoting his new album in Singapore, Sue Yu Pen was asked about the two "Ge Ge" Ruby Lin and Zhao Wei at a reporter's meeting.
He says, "Even though Ruby matches the kind of girlfriend that I want, we're just not attracted to one another somehow."
He says, "Zhao Wei, the feelings that she gives me is, smart, has a real talent for acting, very independent and has her own oponions.
"Ruby and I are really good friends."
The kind that you tell your feelings and things to? "I think so. She's very easy to get along, and is really kind to people. Can say that she'll listen, but won't tell it to anyone else to. Not at all a motormouth."
Then what is his most ideal partner? "I think, probably someone that is really caring and understanding."
OH? THen Ruby Lin matches those qualities perfectly! He laughs: "Uh huh! Everyone says that, but we're too familiar with one another, it's just not possible."
During that time, he also boldly complimented Ruby's new picture album, and ever joked, "As people gets famous, they don't need to wear that little!" In actual, Ruby didn't wear 'that little' in her 1st album.
He added, "Actually, I was going to go to her picture album reporter's meeting to give her flowers, but couldn't go at the last minute."
If both Ruby Lin and ZHao Wei tells him that they were going to do a revealing picture album?
He laughingly replied, "I'll tell them both to to not reveal. Getting to where they are today wasn't easy.
He explained, mabye it's because Ruby and him pasted their chances of developing a relationship when they first met. Now they were too familiar to start a relationship any longer.
He revealed that his last girlfriend from a few years ago and him broke up because of his busy work. "An artist's work was just too difficult to be able to maintain a relationship at the same time for sometimes he might be gone for months to Mainland, China to film a TV serie. A long distance relationship was just asking too much of the girl."
Then what about someone that's in the Entertainment Circle also? "In the circle...well, I think it would become too complicated.. I'm always gone somewhere filming, and will never have any peace if I'm always concerned about who's she with....."
Is Alec Sue and Ruby Lin really a couple? No one knows for sure. Though both protested that they were only 'good friends' their manners and actions seemed intimate to the Medias.
While filming QSSYMM, Ruby and ALec naturally had a few kissing scenes. In one scene, because YuPen had to wear a fake beard in the serie, his 'beard' accidently stuck to RUby as they kissed, making it seem as if Ruby was a guy too, creating much amusement for the casts.
Afterwards, while recording the sound, Ruby screamed with laughter as she watched the scene again. WHen YuPen went to record the voices, he was also attacked by a fit of laughter as he watched the 'touching' kissing scene...
How was it kissing RUby Lin? YuPen replied, "Pretty good!" Then changed his words, "Oh, can't say that, else she'll think I'm using her to get attention!"
Sue Yu Pen's long time contract with manager Mao's was coming to an end soon. Already, many companies have started to 'fight' for him. ABout this, ALec only modestly say, "Not really. I am still discussing with some companies.. But what I really want is to have a couple of months off before I work again."
Alec is also looking for a new house, for after hearing his family's complaints, he decided that everyone needed more space to themselves...ANd he could get a bigger room..
ALec hopes his future company will help him get even higher in his career..
