Autograph session attracted many fans

After a situation, Alec started to have fan clubs in Beijing, Canton, and Shanghai. Right now he is filming QSSYMM. Because of HZGG and OHHJ, he became famous in China. Awhile ago he requested a couple of days off from filming to attend to the fan clubs in Beijing, Canton, and Shanghai. This is the first time Alec had an autograph session in Canton.

The room that was reserved was only for 2,000 people, but there were 4,000 fans present. Even though there were 20 police officers there, it was still too hard to handle the fans. Therefore, the meeting had to be stopped. Even though Alec was sick, he was still taking pictures with his fans.

The second stop was to Beijing. Because of the experience in Canton, they extended the number of policemen to 200. However on that day because Alec went to work at night and because he ate something wrong, he had diarrhea and had the go to the hospital.

Because of this, his fans went crazy. Because of the craziness of his fans, the sponsor had Alec to just sit there. Alec doesn’t have to sing or sign anything at the autograph session. The last stop was to Shanghai. This time the sponsor went to the temple to pray before the session because they hope that nothing bad will happen. This time everything went well.

6/16/2000- At 3am in the morning, Yupen's hotel phone sounded. When he icked it up, the sweet soft voice of a girl could be heard from the other side. The two immediately started talking, and it was almost 1 hour later that he finally set the phone down. When asked who the girl was, Yupen laughing said, "Not telling you! It's a secret!"

That was how the rumor started, saying the girl on the phone was his girlfriend from Austraila who he met last year while he was there on vacation. But YuPen denied the rumor straight away as soon as he heard it. In his message, he said, " Thank you all for your concern. I don't even know how the news (with regards to him having a girlfriend) was even manufactured. Firstly, I don't have such midnight calls. When I heard about this news, I was very angry, this is sheer fabrication!!! Even if you (referring to the newspaper) want to create news, there is absolutely no need to use this particular topic, ba!!! "

6/15/2000- Usually very closed about his personal life, always unwilling to tell the Media which hotel room he's in. This time while in Shang Hai filming Qin Seng Seng, Yin Men Men, for the first time, he had reporters visit his hotel room to take pictures of his room, letting his fans take a peek into his daily life.

Right after getting off the airplane, Yupen's 1st thing on his "to do" list, was to take out his computer. He says laughingly that, without going online once everyday, he will feel as though something was missing in him. Almost like, without music, the day will seem to stretch on and on...

While in Shang Hai, he learned that his good friend, Benny Chen, who had been in an accident and had burned his face, was in Mainland also. May 19th was Benny birthday and so, without a word, Yupen immediately flew to Beijing to meet up his old friend to celebrate his birthday.

When he flew back to Shang Hai, his old friends Zhao Wei and Ruby Lin was already there, getting ready to start the filming of Qin Seng Seng, Yin Men Men. When these good friends met up again, everyone hugged with enthusiasum. With a cry, they all left together to KTV to celebrate.

Some of Yupen's good friends also said secretly that whenever Yupen goes anywhere, he always has to bring along 3 things. First, his contact eyedrops, some medicine he frequently takes for kiddney upsets, and a Madonna's Album! His friends once laughing said why don't he just scan the entire album onto the computer, then he could see it all the time. But Yupen answered seriously that the color in the book was much better!

5/28/2000- Three Tigers Becomes Teachers! Nicky Wu, Sue Yu Pen, Benny Chen are going to be teachers! Dong Sen and Hua Gon Arts School work together to make this a reality! The three tigers under Ding Sen will sign a contract with Hua Gon Arts College. Starting from the next semester, these three tigers will take on the responsibilty of being Song Sen's guest teachers, and will talk about their careers and obstacles during their careers.

Alot of the artists in the entertainment circle, including Jimmy Lin, S.O.S, Tian Sin and etc, all graduated from Huan Gon's school. And now that Dong Sen's working with Hua Gon, the three artists under the company will then become the speakers at the school. But because all three are extremely busy as of now, nothing's been set just yet.

Son Wen San says, These couple of years, Nicky Wu has built his career in HK, so he is more familar with the entertainment cirle in there. That's why he will talk mainly about Hong Kong's Entertainment Circle. If free on Saturaday's and Sunday's, he can come back to Twaiwan to teach the course.

Benny Chen has alot of experimence in filming over in Mainland, China, so the course will of course talk about the painfulness of filming in China.

Out of the three teachers, Sue Yu Pen is the one that everyone has the highest expectation. So Wen San says that, In the past, Sue Yu Pen has already has the experience of going as guest speakers at various schools. His speeches were pretty good. Hecan teach an entire week of classes at once, talking to the students about psychology and inner feelings. Especially about how the three little tigers changed from normal students to famoust stars. He can understand inner change of feelings the best.

5/25/2000-Benny Chen's Birthday, Sue Yu Pen Hurries to Beijing to Congrulate Him

Just finished a skin surgery to do away the burnt mark on his face, Benny Chen has just returned to Twaiwan before he was called back for the filming of "Huai Yu Princess."

Benny Chen is now in Beijing celebrating his 29th birthday. Other than announcing that his face was back to normal, he also recieved a most special of special presents-Sue Yu Pen flew all the way from Shang Hai to Beijing, for the one purpose of helping Benny celebrate his birthday. Earlier on, Siao Guai (Little Tiger's nickname: Little Cute/Good) has already heard of Benny's accident, and now seeing that Benny's face was completely healed, Sue Yu Pen wished him, "Burn More Earn More" (actually, more like, burn more, more luck, but since it didn't rymne in english...I just had to make one up!)

Sue Yu Pen and Benny Chen, these two members of the "Litte Tigers" group has not seem each other for amost a year. Sue Yu Pen is busy filming Qin Sen Sen, Yin Men Men in Shang Hai, while Benny Chen is still in Beijing, filming "Hong Wen Din" and waiting for his face to heal before returning to Twaiwan. He even made a special trip to Hong Kong for a face/skin surgery. It was almost a month before he comes out in public again. Now the surgery has done away with the scars intirely. The workers says that, "he cares a great deal about it, and will only appear in public after his face heals."

From "Little Tiger" to "Wu Ah Goh" Alec has added his own individual personality. Yesterday afternoon, (20th May), Beijing, ??Qi Choong Xin [some shopping centre, sori, don't know what's the exact name], became Alec's fans' playground - it was filled to capacity, every nook and corner -- staircase, corridors, etc. Everybody was holding a copy of Alec's photo [suppose some would be holding more than 1] and calling his name.

As soon as Alec came out, his fans [mainly for his music supporters], immediately gathered together and surged forward. The sponsors were a bit short-handed and one of them announced to assure all fans that "everyone would have a chance to have an autograph by Alec" but the security guards still had to hold their hands together to form a "wall" to control the crowd. Seeing the uncontrollable crowd, Alec had to personally stand on a chair to plead to his fans, "Don't push, take care of your own safety."

Alec became America's Converse company [I think that's what is says, if not please correct], spokesman in April.

The autograph thingamy was orginally scheduled at 1pm but when the reporters arrived at the shopping centre at 10am, they already found that the stage area was already filled with a lot of youngsters.

One has to buy Converse products, clothings, shoes, etc. in order to get the admission ticket to the autograph signing thingamy. A pair of canvass Converse shoes costs about $190 [not sure which currency, not stated], but the fans not only bought one but some of them even bought 2 or 3 pairs. The fans said it is worth spending that much as they want to lend/give their support to Alec.

There was a long queue at 12 noon and everybody was looking forward to the event anxiously. In order to avoid chaos, the fans have to line up to enter. A lot of 30 to 40 people is only allowed in at one time. It was past 2pm and still there was no sign of Alec and yet none of the fans left the long queue.

The reporter found out that amongst the group of fans that queued up, there were 4 middle-aged women with bouquets of flowers in their hands. They were arranged to be queued right in front. They told the reporter, "We came all the way from Hongkong and we are Alec's biggest "friend" [supporters] -- wherever Alec goes, we would follow. When we know that he is coming to Beijing, we immediately joined a tour group coming to Beijing. We have been here for 3 days already. On Friday night, 19th May, was one of Alec's friend's birthday. Glad to meet up with his old buddy, they had dinner and Alec ate too much and had an upset tummy and vomitted pretty badly. On the way to the Shopping Centre on Saturday, 20th May, he vomitted blood. [Oh, dear...pretty serious huh!], and he was cold sweating when he was interviewed. He had to go to the hospitcal after the end of the show [nearly the end] for further treatment.

Because Alec did not want to disappoint the fans, he showed up at the shopping centre at around 2.15 accompanied by doctor. It could be seen that he was pretty ill. His hands were trembling when he was authographing. Unable to withstand any longer, he took out about 300 copies of the already signed photos for the fans. Alec left at 4 pm with the doctor and was sent to the hospital.

Inside: King Yiu's big movie "Ching Sum Sum Yu Mun Mun" already taping like hot cake in Shanghai, Vicky came back from Australia with her boyfriend, Ruby also finished her photo shoot in London, almost all the actors has been back, ready to fall into this love story. Alec Su Yupeng came down to Hong Kong for two hours to meet up with fans before returning to Shanghai for more filming. Recently, there was a rumour that Alec went to Karaoke with Vicki and Vincent and Su Yupeng has admitted to it.

Alec said, "A group of us went anyway and Ruby was there too." Yupeng pointed out that when it was because everyone felt like singing so Vicki decided to call Vincent to go along and Vincent was supposed to pay for it (Naughty Vicki!! I think that is what the phrase means!)

5/6/2000-Because of his awesome acting in TV series, Sue Yu Pen becomes once again famous throughout Twaiwan, HK and Mainland, China. It has been almost 5 years since his last album, Sue Yu Pen has once again switched back to his old profession as a singer, releasing his new album in September, to go along with the releasing of his new TV serie, QSSYMM, or New Yin Yu Men Men,

But to give everyone a taste of his new music, Yu Pen will be singing one of his new songs, "You Are My #1" at the YuPen's Net Party on 5/6/2000 in HK. He hopes that the fans will join the live chat that was being held at at Yes.com.hk today.

These couple of months, YuPen has been in Mainland, China, attending shows, taking on interviews, and doing a great number of commercials, causing his fame in China to rise even more.

When asked about the many commericals he's taken on, YuPen saids that even though his "healthy, good, nice" image made him sought after by the many merchants, he will still take on different roles in movies, dispite that the character he play might "ruin" his image.

A while ago, YuPen signed on to film Big Winner where he played a rather humorus character, a private detective who was vastly different from the roles he's ever taken on before. He welcomed the new image and hoped the fans will change the everlasting "good tiger" image in their mind.

Now he has just started filming Qian Yao's new serie, QSSYMM or NEw Yin Yu Men Men. His character there will also be a funny guy, Du Fai, changing his other "solid" images that he's created over the year. YuPen believes the role will be challenging and so feels very satisfied.
