7/23/2000-It has been 5 years since Yupen has recorded any new albums, but because he has now once again risen to the top because of his tremedus success in the acting area, Yupen's company has once again directed their attention to making a new album.
Even though most of his songs in the new album has already been recorded, there were some bits unfinished in his album. Because Yupen had a one week break off from QSSYMM to return to Twaiwan to rest his arm, he was pressured by his company to do more work on the album during that time, making Producer Qiong Yao very unhappy.
But now, everything has calmed down, and YuPen has thoroughly explained his situation to Auntie Qiong Yao, and he was once again filming QSSYMM in Shang Hai. As for the record, it will be released in the middle of August. However, Yupen won't be able to have time to promote the new album until September, when he is done with the filming of QSSYMM.
Because his arm was in a cast, Yupen could only shoot his face for the MTV while he was shooting the MTV in Twaiwan during that week. As for what kind of result they will get, it will depend on the director's cutting and fitting of the entire MTV.

Dear Friends, How are you! I have been in Shanghai for about a week and truly relish the production crew and actors' relentless hard work here. Alec had been in the hotel resting and in meetings the whole of 15th July afternoon after his arrival from Taiwan. On the early morning of the 16th, he was on location shoot - filming some scenes on his injury. He only went back to the hotel to rest at dawn of 17th July. We have never seen Alec that tired before. We asked how was his hand and he replied, "It's fine, nothing serious. Please don't worry le". Seeing that he couldn't keep his eyes opened, we told him to have a good rest and left. With our backs to Alec, Carmen and I cried - feeling "sorry" for Alec, (he didn't see us cry).
On 17 Jul - after a good morning's sleep, he looked better - he even greeted us with "good morning". He had his breakfast in the car (had bread). He even told Carmen and I to have a good rest and to have our breakfast. He himself was so tired and yet he was so concerned about about us - it is really very touching...
On the 17th night - Alec returned to the Hotel early. When he got off the car, he was listening to some music - he looked much better than last night - he even chatted with us for a while and told us to go and have our dinner...to be continued...
P.S. We have bought a lot of chicken essence and other stuff for Alec - he would not be starved/lack of nutrition - please do not worry.

THE 3 LITTLE TIGERS - NOT TOGETHER BUT GOT HURT!
Reporter Lin Yixiu reported that this year is not a good year for the 3 Little Tigers - Alec hurt his right hand and was rumoured to be unconscious; Benny was hurt in the face; Nicky was rumoured that his relationship with Ada Choi was on the rocks after Ada had renounced her mother and lately, Nicky was raging with fever when he was shooting an advertisement in Shanghai.
The 3 Little Tigers, once being popular in the singing/music scene, after their disbandment, had each made their own headway in TV serials and music scene again - they are really reaping the fruits of their labour. Alec and Vicki's "old" show, "Biao Mei Ji Xiang" was just shown recently; Nicky & Vicky "Xia Nu Chuang Tian Quan" is being broadcast; Benny's first lead role in "Ku Gan Sao Nian Gong Wen Ting" will be telecast by TVB. The 3 Little Tigers have each made a name for themselves - very promising - but they are now nicknamed as "Sick Tigers!"
* Alec - fall from a horse was then rumoured as he was unconscious... Alec who is currently filming QSSYMM in China - since acted in HZGG and JDSJ, had shown his hard work and perserverance in the entertainment circle -- especially this year in Qiong Yau's new serial, he is one the male leads, which goes to show that he is one of the "new era" most promising actors.
7 July, Alec fell from a horse whilst acting incident was rumoured in Taiwan, (as Taiwan was too far away from Shanghai), that he was unconscious after the fall as one of his legs was caught in the stirrup. Alec/production company were alarmed at the exaggerated news. In order to clarify the incident, Alec's managing company organised a press conference for Alec to explain/clarify the accident.
Alec stressed that he had only hurt his right hand and not as rumoured that he was unconscious. He professed that he was fortunate to have only a slight injury on his hand as compared to Zhao Jie, when he was shooting HZGG, had a fall off the horse and was kicked in the face by it. His (Alec's) injury is considered "a small injury".
*Benny - burnt his eyebrow/face when jumping over a fire whilst filming a scene...
Benny recently is also engaged in the entertainment circle - he performed well from "Lian Sen" till "Da Ren Wu". His recent serial, "Ku Gan Sao Nian Gong Wen Ting", due to excessive explosives in one of the scenes, whilst he was jumping over it, got his eyebrow/face burnt. He was then sent to Beijing Hospital for emergency treatment. Within a month, he went back to Hongkong for some skin surgery. Benny said this accident was a blessing in disguise for him.
This accident had made Benny "Wu Mei Dao Ren" (man without eyebrow). After the completion of the filming, with some free time to spare, Benny decided to get together with his friends to enjoy himself for a while. But now, in order not to frighten others, he had become "norturnal". He joked, "For now, if the sun does not set, I will definitely not step out of the door."
*Nicky - had raging fever whilst shooting an advertisement in Shanghai... Nicky recently concentrated his career in Hongkong and had done reasonably well and had the support of the Hongkong fans - be it in his albums or TV serials. However, recently when Ada Choi renounced her mother, it was rumoured that Nicky and Ada were on the verge of a breakup. Later, Ada went to the States to avoid the paparazzi and rumours were rifed that Nicky and Vicki were an item. All these speculations made him very weary.
Nicky, was down with a raging fever for a few days, when he was in Shanghai shooting an advertisement - due to the hot weather as well as not being able to acclimatise. When discussing the recent "mishaps" the 3 little tigers had encountered, he said, "As artistes, we must really really be able to take care of ourselves in order to avoid any "occupational accidents". I think Alec and Benny, after their injuries, would take serious consideration of their own personal safety."
Nicky recalled his injury of his shoulder in one of the sports meet and said, "Up till now, the old injury does feel a bit painful at times, thus after an injury, one must take care of oneself well, [...by way of "pupin" - nutritious food...]

7/18/2000-Siao Huo Dua (Little Tigers) is hoping to get together once more to film Liu De Hua's company's new serie, Yang Warrior Family. This serie was once TVB's top rating show and with the famous Little Tigers as the leads, the ratings will definity fly. And they also wanted to use Nicky Wu's girlfriend, Ada Chia in the show with Nicky.
After Nicky Wu, Sue Yu Pen, and Benny Chen parted years ago to go their own way, the three of them became even more famous in both the Movies, TV, and Song career. And so, the New Melody company which belonged to Liu De Hua wanted them to starr as Yang 4, Yang 6, and Yang 7 warriors.
In the past, Yang Warrior was acted by Mel Chio Wai (not sure whether I pronounced that right) as Yang 4, Liu De Hua as Yang 6, and Liang Chou Wai as Yang 7. This time, they hope to use Nicky Wu as Yang 4, and his girlfriend, Ada Chia (Sao Fen) as Empress Siao's daughter, Tia Jin Princess, to partner up with Nicky. Sue Yu Pen and Benny Chen to be Yang 6 and Yang 7 warrior.
The three tigers has never filmed a TV serie together before. Before, Ti She's "Siao Xia" was acted by Nicky Wu and Benny Chen, and Sue Yu Pen couldn't be a part of it because of his schooling. This time, if the three of them can film together, it would be totally new.
Nicky Wu's new TV serie, Ti She's "Xia Neu/Swordgirl" is still airing at Ti She in Twaiwan. Nicky's handsome, cool look made thousands of fans fall for him. After acting in Huan Zhu Ge Ge, Sue Yu Pen's fame kept rising and rising. And was now filming Qiong Yao's new serie, Qing Sen Sen, Yin Men Men in Shang Hai. As for Benny Chen, his fame was also high. 7/18/2000-It has been almost 10 years since Twaiwan's Siao Huo Dua (Little Tigers) have worked together on a TV serie. Pi Li Huo (Lightening Tiger) Nicky Wu (Xi Leung), Siao Guai Huo (Cute Tiger) Sue Yu Pen and Siao Siaoi Huo (Handsome Tiger) Benny Chen (Zi Pen), has been apart for years, and have each opened up his own space. New Melody has said that they hope to get the three tigers back together to film Yang Warriors. And will also add Ada Chia (Chia Sou Fen) as female lead, and will partner up with real life boyfriend, Nicky Wu.
New Melody saids that as the Little Tigers has many fans in Twaiwan, HK, as well as well as in China, the ratings will definity be high. With the addition of Ada Chui and Nicky Wu's partnering up, it was a guarenteed.
Nicky Wu also saids that nothing has been set, and he will wait until he has finish the rest of his planned jobs before he can see whether he can be in the serie. Nothing has been signed, only being thought and talked over.
7/16/2000- Shang Hai Wu Xian TV channel is sponsering the famous Chinese auther, Zhan Iye Lin's very famous old work, Ban Shen Yuan which has been planned to start shooting in September. The two actors that was elected to be the male lead was Li Min, the Heaven King of the elder generation, or Sue Yu Pen, a new idol considered as the Young Heavenly King of the newer generation.
Now, it has been decided that Sue Yu Pen was more suited for the character with his freshness. All they need now, was a female lead of the same age, and whose looks were compatible with Yupen. After looking through a long list of actresses, they have finally decided on Zhan Zi Yi, a new actress that had just gotten famous from a TV serie.
And unepectedly, when they contacted Zhan Zi Yi, she was very welcoming, not caring about the price, and willing to shoot the serie as long as the script was good. Delighted, the company told her they will quickly finish up the script to show her.
Zhan Zi Yi's acting skill have been highly praised, that's why instead of approaching YuPen's old partner, Lin Sin Lou (Ruby Lin), they decided on Zhan Zi Yi instead. They are very hopeful and was confident that she will agree.
7/16/2000- Little Tigers group to film, "Yang Zhia Zhian"
It has been 10 years since the members of Little Tigers group, Nicky Wu, Alec Sue and Benny Chen, has acted together in a TV serie. This time, Liu De Hua's company, New Melody, was hoping to get the three good buddies to film the infamous Yan Zhia Zhian together. Even though nothing's been set, the three little tigers have already promised to do the serie.
When Nicky Wu was asked of the serie, he replyed that he still had some jobs to finish, but when he was done, his company will naturally set up any further job.
It was rumored that New Melody wanted to use Nicky Wu's girlfriend Ada Chia as one of the female lead in the serie. But Ada replyed that nothing's been set, but she has nothing against working with Nicky.
So fans, if you've been waiting for the Little Tigers to be together again for a serie, there you are!
7/12/2000- Right now there was rumors that even though Yupen was suppose resting during the week off from filming QSSYMM, he was instead, hurrily finishing up his new music album instead.
When Producer Qiong Yao heard this rumor, she was very hurt, saying, "I looked upon Yupen almost as if he was my son. He really shouldn't have lied to me. Recording his album wasn't illegal, he should've just told me the truth completely."
But Yupen's manager says that, "Yes, YuPen did go to the recording studio, but unlike what the media says, he didn't record any songs, he only came to listen to the songs previously recorded. Besides, all his songs have already been recorded, and everything is all done."
However, someone pointed out that there was one new song that they have yet to record, what does the manager have to say about that?
The reply was swift. "Everything has been recorded already. There were some parts that could be changed, but it is not neccessary. Yupen is spending his break as he should, resting at him."
Yupen also said himself that he was having a fine time at home resting, and stuffing himself with food that his father cooks for him as his mother and grandmother wasn't around. They were according to him, in Beijing right now traveling. That was one of the reason the rumor started, for his mananger told the media that YuPen has just taken a trip to Sing Zhou to see his mother and grandmother. Because the things they say are different, the media had gotten suspicious and there came the question, "Will Qiong Yao get someone else to play Yupen's role?"
But Qiong Yao says, "No. I will definity not change Yupen's role. He will continue to act the character I've written despite his accident and his diseet. In fact, when he comes back on I will add onto his scenes."
So, Yupen, better use that one week break wisely!
Qiong Yao continues: "YuPen has already called me to explain about the situation, and I have forgiven him. He sent me flowers everyday since the newspapers wrote about his lies, and now I just hope he will continue with his break, and be all rested when he comes back on the 15th."
7/10/2000-Sue Yu Pen has returned to Twaiwan.
On the 8th the other day, YuPen was given a one week break off from the filming of QSSYMM, for him to return to Twaiwan for a more thorough checkup on his arm and shoulder. Because the newspapers have exaggerated his accident so much that some fans have written almost as if he's died, Yupen, under the his company's planning, held a reporters' meeting that very day, as soon as he reached Twaiwan.
With his right arm wrapped in a metal cast, Yupen lookded a bit pale, and seems to have grown even thinner. He said at the meeting, "Thank you for all your concerns, I am fine. The media has exaggerated the accident quite a bit. I was never dragged by the horse almost 30 feet, only about 3 feet! My mom was scared to death when she saw the report!"
"When I fell off, I was a bit stunned, but not really hurt that badly that afternoon. I didn't even notice the broken bone until that night, my hand started swelling to the size of a bear's paw. Then I was taken immediately to the hospital. They told me it was more serious than it looked." Yupen still went back to finish the filming even after the visit to the hospital on the 7th, and it wasn't until 9 am the next day that he was able to go back to the hotel and rest."
Report has it that there was a kissing scene that he had to finish, and because he didn't want to waste everyone's time as the workers had already set up the scene and everything, he went on filming it until 9 the next day. When he got back, he slept through 5 hours straight as the QSSYMM group had decided to give him a day break as he's worked so hard.
Smiling, he said, "So don't act like I'm dying! I'm fine! And with the extra days off, I will be able to record more of my album!"
Right after the meeting, Yupen and his manager went immeditately to the hospital for a checkup. The doctors confirmed that there were fractured bits in his arm, and he needs to rest it 10 days or more.
Yupen will go back to Shang Hai on the 15th this month to continue filming QSSYMM while the rest of the cast will struggle on without him for the week.

7/9/00- The Straits Times (Singapore ) report on Alec's accident .
They said that Alec was still recovering in the hospital after landing head-first from a horse while filming a drama serial they also included that he was dragged by the horse for more than 30 m as his foot was caught in the stirrup .He was filming a scene ,where his character ,who cannot ride , was chasing Ruby Lin . Alec who was a fairly goog rider off-screen had let go of the reins as directed when the animal suddenly took fright and threw him off.Vicki was present at the time of the accident.
Alec was unconscious and was taken to the hospital immediately .When he finally regained consciousness five hours later ,he was unable to speak nor move his limbs ! The doctors said he suffered a concussion and needed to be monitored .
Producer Qiong Yao denies that Yupen was unconcious at all, saying the papers exagerated way too much! "He wasn't that seriously injured," she said.
7/8/2000-Last night Nicky Wu who was in Guang Zhou with Nicholas Xia, Yi Nen Zing and a bunch of other stars for a performance was asked by reporters whether he's heard about his long time friend Sue Yu Pen's accident in Shang Hai. Nicky replies that he's already heard about it, and has already called Yupen's assistant to ask about it. From her tone, Nicky says that it seems as though the accident wasn't as serious as the news had made it out to be like. YuPen only suffer some minor injuries, with a fractured bone, and a mutiple of bruises.
Nicky says that he hopes Yupen will recover soon. But because of his workload, Nicky won't be able to see his friend when Yupen returns to Twaiwan for a checkup unfortunenally.
What Nicky doesn't get is, why did Yupen did the scene by himslef in the first place? He says, "Yupen usually does not work out, and is not into exercising, so why didn't they use a stunt man instead?"

A: As soon as we learned of the news, we immediately called up He Sial Xin, Yupen's Twaiwan manager. She said that his injury wasn't as bad as news had made it out to be.

B: No. I think the Hong Kong's newspapers has exagerated too much. He went to the hospital yes, but it's really not serious. He actually went back to the set after he went to the hospital to continue filming, so how can he be unconcious?

Ya She (ATV) called to Shang Hai to look for Yupen, but because he was resting, they talked to his assistant instead.

His manager, He Sial Xin says that the injury will not affect his work. ANd right now he is going back to Twaiwan for another checkup, examination and rest.

A: His family didn't go over to Shang Hai to see him? B: No. Because it's not really that serious. We already called his family. He will be home tomorrow, so his family can just wait for him in Twaiwan.
7/8/2000-At about 1 pm yesterday during a scene for QSSYMM, YuPen was involved in an accident when he was filming a out door action scene with Vicki, Ruby and the rest of the cast. In that scene, Ruby and Yupen's character has just gotten in a fight. Ruby had ran off, and Yupen was suppose to get on the horse and chase after her. He was suppose to fall off a horse, but who was to know, that the horse would be startled and become uncontrollable? That he's leg would get caught in the stirrup as he struggle to get off? And this fake accident would become a real one? The people on the set was frighten to death as they watch him fall...
But the newspapers that had printed all the rubish about Yupen having a concussion and staying in the hospital exagerated quite a bit. In fact, Yupen's injury sums up to a shoulder injury and some fractured bones in his hands. He got more bruises than actual injury. However, the doctor advise him to stop moving his shoulders for a while, and rest his shoulders. YuPen will only be working on non action scenes for the rest of the few days that he's staying in Shang Hai before he flies back to Twaiwan on the 9th of this month for some rest.
Everyone, pray that Yupen will recover soon, and will be fit as ever!

He basically fractured his wrist and will be returning to Taiwan tomorrow which is the 9th of July. His condition has never been as serious as that silly newspaper made it out to be!!!
Just to reiterate, he was never hospitalised and he basically continued filming till the next morning but his PA said that he had been feeling uncomfortable with his right hand and was resorting to using his left only -- that's why he eventually went back to the hospital...
I got this from a HK interview where they spoke to both his manager in Taiwan as well as his PA in Shanghai.
They tried to talk to him but his PA said that he is resting (that is good! : > He is not on the web or filming!!!)
The doctor has advised him to take up to a month to rest his injury...I am not sure if he will listen to the doctor...sighing...
Anyhow, he will do a more thorough check-up in Taiwan...whew!!!

Just got word from Alec's personal assistant, Xiao Chen, said that he did not have a concussion ("brain vibration") la, thank God!
When he fell, he used his right shoulder to break the fall. With regard to being dragged, it is the "normal" bruises as sustained by such dragging - not very serious. However, after the completion of one of his scene, until 9 a.m. this morning, (as they are rushing to complete the serial), realised/found that his collarbone(?) somewhat dislocated. The pain was so atrociously painful, and his right hand was very swollen (like a swollen face) and could not be moved. His body is slightly bruised and he is presently resting la. It is not as seriously reported by the newspaper that he had a concussion and was unconscious.
The company wondered how the news circle got the news and is furious that they gave such a report. Currently, the company is arranging for Alec to return to Taiwan to convalesce la. I came to clarify the rumour and to tell all of you not to worry unduly. Please spread this news and don't believe the news reports la.

This morning, 8th July at about 12 am, our company [...I think is 36.com...] made an overseas call Shanghai to enquire about Alec's accident of falling from a horse whilst filming QSSYMM. Miss Yang [..not mentioned who she was...] answered the call and informed that yesterday after Alec was injured, he was immediately sent to a doctor. After seeing the doctor, round about 4 pm, he went back to continue filming until this morning at 9 a.m. -- he went back to the doctor again and the doctor said that there are small pcs of bones in his hand - his right hand was swollen and couldn't move. They [...the production crew, I think...] pleaded him not to act and to take leave to return to Taiwan for further examination and to convalesce. Doctor instructed that his right hand should not be moved anymore otherwise consequences would be serious.
