After casting his vote, Su Yupeng left Taipei for his commercial shoot.
He left his house early and went to the nearby voting centre to cast his votes. His arrival caused quite a stir with voters there. There were old grannies who knew that he gave up money for the election all patted his head and said, "Little Friend, not bad!" (wish I could be there and pat his head too...grin! : >)
And in reply, Su Yupeng grinned and said jokingly: " I am not a little friend! I am already past 20 years old, that's why I can vote!"
After casting his vote, he left for the afternoon flight to Shenyang to take part in some television programme there and he was interviewed there. Even as he was rushing, he kept reminding everyone (the staff and all that) to keep him posted via the telephone as to who will be the President. Everyone thought that he was joking until he made a call back from Hong Kong at five in the evening to rejoice over the news -- that call gave everyone a huge fright!

The article mentioned about the New Millenium's concert that Beijing, Taiwan, Macau and other Chinese television companies put together an evening concert titled " The Spring Millenium"…There were many singers and stars present. For instance, they had Aaron Kwok, Jacky Cheung, Ruby Lin, Alec Su Yupeng, Zhang Min, Jimmy Lin, Chen De Rong (she's the one who acted with him in JDSJ?) and others (I simply don't recognise the names anymore). Anyway, the concert was very entertaining and it was a great concert.
Jimmy Lin(probably the "emperor" in HZGG) and Su Yupeng had a "father-son" reunion They hugged each other when they met and Jimmy Lin patted Su Yupeng on the head and asked him: "My good son, where have you run to recently?" And Alec shouted tenderly: "Father!"

Su Yupeng (the one who gave up money for the election), wore a pair of sunglasses, dressed simply went to Taipei (somewhere grounds) to cast his vote yesterday. His appearance caused quite a stir...he will not reveal his political preference but he says that as long as the President can provide the people with a happy life, then that is a good president.

3/17/2000- YuPen gave up over hundreds of thousands of dollars just for the Twaiwan voting!
Yep, that's right! A mainland spring water company had wanted YuPen to be in their commercial and become their main speaker for their product. For that, they were willing to paid over hundreds of thousands of HK dollars because he was so welcomed by fans in Mainland as of now. At first, YuPen was really moved and was about to agree until they mention the filming has to be done around the 16-20th...Just when the Twaiwan election was going on. As he didn't want to miss the voting, YuPen had to wave a goodbye to the offer.
Why were the company so willing to offer that much money to YuPen?
Because when polls were taken for the "Most Welcomed Singers" in Mainland, China, YuPen, as well as A-Mei and Fan Chiao Zhian turned out to be the top 3 chosen by fans. For the "Most Welcomed Actor/Actresss" poll, YuPen was once again one of the top three along with Zhao Wei and Nicholas Xia. In the two major polls, YuPen came out as #1 both times, how could companies pass up the chance?
3/17/2000-YuPen is going to do a photo album. Not just any photo album, but a sexy album, rating in category 2. 10 years ago when he was still a part of the Little Tiger group, he had already done 10 group albums, plus 3 of his own. But those albums were filled with just regular, innocent pictures, nothing like what he wants now. YuPen says that he doesn't want to be manipulated by his record company anymore. He wants to get rid of the cute, nice image that he once had completely. That was why he decided to do an album that will wash away his image and let fans see the other side of him.
I will definity buy This album when it comes out!!! ^_^ Can't wait to see the sexy side of YuPen, not just the nice side!!!

1/7/2000-Alec has just finished the show in AC at Christmas, and his second commercial is ready on air on
January in mainland China. His first commercial for soap was a big success in China, and his health image is welcome by the advertiser.
His second commercial is for a calcium tablet, and there are two looks - one is astronaut and the other is causal look.
Alec will be at Taiwan with his friends for Millemium, and he will go to HongKong at 3, Jan of next year to complete the film "Big Winner".

In the previous months, when you switch on the TV in Hong Kong, the actress you would see is Vicki Zhao Wei, the actor would have to be Alec Su. From Huan Zhu Ge Ge (HZGG), to Jue Dai Shuang Jiao (JDSJ or "TWINS"), to Biao Mei Ji Xiang (OHHJ or "Old House Has Joy"), Alec is acting in all these series.
When asked, "Do you feel threatened acting side by side with two very promising actresses, Ruby and Vicki?" Alec confidently replied that he also has a lot of fans around.
But does anybody know how much Alec needs to endure to get this confidence?
"Previously, as a singer, there are a lot of people helping to take care of affairs. All I need to do at that time is to concentrate on singing. However, when I became an actor, I discovered that there are a lot of things I need to do myself.."
From memorising the scripts to taking care of himself, Alec spent a DIY 5 and a half months in China. If you had noticed that he looked plump in HZGG, it was because he could not endure the extreme cold during acting, so he wore a lot of clothes inside the costume.
"I can be considered a senior in the singing arena, but I am a newcomer in the acting circle. I found out that I need to learn a lot of things. Co-stars such as Zhou Jie and Ruby are much more experienced."
Rumours about Vicki and Alec
"From HZGG1 to HZGG2 to OHHJ, we have been acting as lovers. If I were to say that I do not have any feelings towards her, I would be lying. However, once we have finished filming the serial, we have not really been in contact as we are both very busy. I would say that we are better than normal friends, but Vicki already has a boyfriend.."

"The character is a romantic person who takes care of his lover. The serie HZGG focuses a lot on the ladies, Xiao yan zi and Zi wei, hence it is understandable that the spotlight has been on Vicki and Ruby." Besides, Alec is still new, and does not want to take on too difficult a role.
His portrayal of Hua Wu Que (one of the twin in JDSJ) is a big improvement from the character in HZGG. Alec learns a lot from taking on this serie. In the show, his character changes from an initial cold and cool character to someone who has more expressions and feelings.
This is also the first time Alec teams up with Jimmy Lin. "Everybody is on a tight schedule, so you can say that we are 'brothers in troubled times!' Jimmy is a lively person, and is always very excited about anything and everything. I do not have so much energy; besides memorising the script, I try to catch some sleep. But Jimmy is very impressed that I have been taking on series one after another without much rest in between."

12/26/99-YuPen has just finished his concert in New Jersey. I couldn't go to the concert but I heard it was a success. I will be posting his concert pictures and info soon, okay?
12/20/99-Alec's still in Singapore filiming his New Year's movie "Big Winner", he won't leave until the 17th. After that he'll fly over to Hong Kong and stay for only one day. He'll be in Han Wu on the 18th and after that, once again go over to Canton to film a candy commercial. Right when he's finished with the commercial, he'll fly straight over the US to prepare for the concert. Not quite sure when he'll be arriving over to the US yet, mabye the earliest could be the 20th.
12/17/99-YuPen is now in Singapore filming his latest movie, "Big Winner." The female that is his lover in the movie is played by Ruby Lin, the other female lead of HZGG I and II. While they were there, the newspaper printed alot of rumors, saying that YuPen and Ruby Lin were seem with each other. To the reporters, they seem like a really sweet couple. And yet, when asked if he was going out with Ruby, YuPen repeatedly denied the rumors. He said that Ruby and him were really good friends. Such good friends that they were almost like siblings. He said that when they call each other on the phone, Ruby always calles him, "Big brother" and he calles her,"Sis". There was nothing between them really. When asked about Zhao Wei though, he just breifly said that they haven't had contact for a long time. Yes, he had once being in love with her, but that was a long time ago, will the reporters stop mentioning it?
12/19/99-YuPen will be coming to Atlantic City, New Jersey on Christmas for a holiday performance with another singer,Li Yi Gion. She is the singer for the last song of HZGG I. The tickets can be bought through a link on my main page, HOME. He will be singing 4 to 5 songs and will be staying from 12/24 to 12/25, then, flying straight back home.
12/19/99-A lot of YuPen's fan have disscussed on his sites whether YuPen will be in Xin Yiao's newest movie in April. The movie is called, "Yin Yu Men Men", it has already being filmed before but this time, Xin Yao, the writer of HZGG has changed the story a bit more. The main lead is going to be played by Zhao Wei, Ruby Lin and Nicky Wu. YuPen and Zhou Jie, the other male lead in HZGG, will only be the 2nd male leads. In the story, Zhao Wei will play the older, more serious sister while Ruby will play the younger, more carefree sister. In Yin Yu Men Men, they both fall for Nicky Wu...But in the end, Nicky choese Zhao Wei, the older sister. This movie will start filming in the March or April of next year.
